In touching social media activity, Amanda Conner, girlfriend of ‘Teen Mom’ personality Ryan Edwards, shared a poignant image of an empty crib, hinting at the absence of her child, Brandon Scott Hancock II, after losing custody.
Brandon was born to Amanda during her former union with ex-husband Brandon Hancock Sr.
Amanda, at 33 years of age, is now in a relationship with 35-year-old Ryan, with their connection sparking over the summer of 2023 while both were undergoing rehab treatment.
In a recently deleted Instagram story post, Amanda shared a snapshot showing an unoccupied crib.
The caption for the image read: “When you have a key to your bestie’s house & she’s at work.”
This post appears as an indirect reflection of her longing to be close to a child, likely due to missing her 11-year-old son.

Following reports of neglect, Amanda lost custody of her son, as indicated by the divorce documents from her second marriage.
The divorce was filed by Amanda on November 7, 2019.
The legal documents stated, “The parties have irreconcilable differences which require termination of their marriage.”
It was further noted in the court papers that neither Amanda nor Brandon Sr. had custody of Brandon Jr. at the time of their separation, as the custody was granted to the child’s maternal grandfather by existing orders.

Amanda pursued a temporary parenting plan stating her father’s custody of their child as per a “Juvenile Court Order.”
The court documents from May 16, 2014, disclosed that Amanda’s father, Jesse, had been given temporary custody on January 31, 2014.
THE DEETS
Jesse’s spouse, Lisa, was also named a co-petitioner in the custody case.
According to the documents from May 16, 2014: “Mr. Conner testified that Amanda Conner was currently incarcerated in Nashville, Tennessee for a probation violation, with her release expected in February 2015.
“Brandon Hancock Sr., was also incarcerated on a probation violation and was facing possible extended jail time with new charges pending in Hamilton County.
“The court found the child dependent and neglected due to both parents’ incarceration and lacking a legal guardian in Hamilton County.
“For the child’s welfare, the Court awarded legal custody to the petitioners.”
The parents’ visitation rights were left to Lisa and Jesse’s discretion.
BATTLING IT OUT
Amanda went on to submit a Motion for Default Judgment in February 2020, seeking a divorce without Brandon Sr.’s response.
An Affidavit of Witness was presented by someone familiar with the couple, which read, “I have known Brandon and Amanda for around 10 years and have witnessed the abuse and adultery from Brandon to Amanda. I agree with the divorce.”
A judge ruled Brandon Sr. guilty of inappropriate marital behavior and formalized the divorce during a May 19, 2020, hearing.
The ruling divided the individuals’ personal property and restored Amanda’s maiden name of Conner.
The court, however, did not have jurisdiction over the custody of their son due to the prior juvenile court order.
Amanda last shared an image of her son on social media in May 2020.
Jesse Conner, Amanda’s father, passed away on September 28, 2021.
Lisa, Amanda’s mother, continues to post about and mention Brandon on her social media accounts.
