What Spotify did for playlists, WOLIO wants to do for books—make them personal, dynamic, and responsive. The Bangalore-based startup just raised 2.5M in angel funding to build its AI-native platform that rewrites books in real time based on who’s reading them.
Founded by Akshay Manorama, WOLIO is tackling a question few dared to ask: What if books could think? The platform uses proprietary AI to analyse a reader’s goals, mindset, tone preferences, and cognitive patterns—and then rewrites the book to match. Same core message, completely different experience.
“Readers evolve—their books never did. We’re fixing that,” said Manorama.
With the 2.5M raise, WOLIO plans to:
Launch a web-based MVP
Develop its real-time content rewriting engine
Test its first series of AI-persona-driven books
Expand its product and engineering teams
The company is placing strong bets on ethical AI, proprietary pipelines, and immersive UX. A closed beta is expected by the end of 2025.
In a world saturated with content, WOLIO isn’t offering more—it’s offering meaningful. One reader at a time.
