Joseph explains in the video from the show’s set, “As Gary Lennon and the other writers and I were planning season three, we realized we were concluding a full narrative. Given this, we felt it was the opportune moment to honor our creative vision by drawing Tommy’s tale in Chicago to a close.”
However, he assures fans that this isn’t the last time they’ll see Tommy Egan within the vast Power universe.
“But don’t fret—Tommy’s adventures are far from over. We’re just beginning, and I’m excited for what’s coming next,” Joseph added. “Big thanks to everyone involved with Power Book IV: Force. Remember, ghosts never die, and power never ends.”
Gary Lennon, the showrunner, also expressed his thoughts on the final season and what lies ahead for the franchise.
He shared with Deadline, “Penning the satisfying conclusion to Tommy’s journey, which began over the past ten years, is a sweet sorrow. Season 3 will challenge the known boundaries of Tommy’s realm, and it definitely won’t disappoint! While Force might be reaching its end, the broader Power narrative will continue to unfold.”
Although the production of Force has been underway in Chicago for several months, a specific release date for the premiere remains undisclosed.
