The K-pop community has been shaken by the sudden cancellation of EXO members Suho and Chanyeol from a festival just days before it was scheduled to occur.
This year’s much-anticipated Aria Festival, slated for June 20th in Greece, boasted of a lineup including the popular EXO duo which had fans particularly excited.
However, a surprise announcement on June 12, only eight days before the event, revealed the EXO members would no longer be participating, citing “circumstances during the preparation process” according to the Aria Festival’s statement.
Due to our circumstances during the preparation process from the festival, SUHO and CHANYEOL will unfortunately be unable to attend ARIA FEST 2024. In the light of current situation, we inform you that the performances of the aforementioned artists have been cancelled.

Speculation arose among fans linking the untimely announcement to an ongoing legal tussle involving SM Entertainment and its subunit EXO CBX.

Frustration was also targeted at the Aria Festival for what many saw as shady and excessively high ticket prices.

Amidst the turmoil, fans called out the organizers for editing their announcement post which originally offered refunds.
Later statements stopped mentioning refunds, instead promising a still worthwhile lineup, causing further discontent among attendees.
Eager for clarification and transparency, fans demanded answers and expressed their frustration over these unexpected turn of events.
Aria fest removing the refund part really proves that they can’t afford suho chanyeol due to the low selling of their extremely overpriced tickets but still want to keep the show going, they’re basically scamming exols and using their money to keep the show going
