This event is specially arranged for him to greet fans in a face-to-face setting. Divided into two segments, the first part of the event includes a free hug session with 1000 fortunate fans, curated by Jin himself.
Regarding the hug event, Jin disclosed, “Last year, around October or November, I met with the company to outline my post-discharge schedule. This involved planning for the FESTA event. The company had established plans, but I proposed the idea of a free hug event, which met initial resistance.” His suggestion for an outdoor free hug event was challenged by the company due to safety and security considerations.
Jin added, “My intention was to embrace as many fans as possible, those who waited patiently for me. The company staff voiced concerns about the risk of injury due to the crowd. Nevertheless, I was adamant about incorporating the free hug event and pushed for a month. I still preferred an outdoor event until April but later agreed that an indoor event made more sense. Eventually, we compromised.” He further said, “Originally, my wish was to welcome roughly 3000 fans. However, after careful deliberation, we chose to limit it to 1000 fans. This was a precautionary measure taken by the company to prevent me from becoming overly fatigued.”
