Mini has expanded its fourth-generation vehicle lineup with the unveiling of the new Cooper 4-Door hatchback model.
Contrary to the two-door version of the Cooper, which offers both gas and electric options, the freshly presented Cooper 4-Door comes exclusively with gasoline engines.
The electric Coopers sit on a dedicated EV platform engineered from the ground up, whereas the petrol-based models are updated iterations of the previous design. The Cooper 4-Door, which inherits mechanicals from its predecessor, features increased width for enhanced rear seating, accommodating three passengers comfortably. With the rear seating flat, the cargo space provided is a generous 32.6 cubic feet.
Upon release, the Cooper 4-Door will be available in two versions: a Cooper C model powered by a 156-hp 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-3 engine and a Cooper S model equipped with a 204-hp 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine. The Cooper C can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 8.0 seconds, with a top speed of 134 mph, whereas the Cooper S can achieve 0-62 mph in 6.8 seconds and reach up to 150 mph, according to Mini’s claims.

Both versions of the Cooper 4-Door come with an innovative OLED interface and are equipped with the Mini Operating System 9. This setup includes a voice-recognition feature that springs into action when prompted with “Hey Mini.” This system is akin to the ones found in the luxury BMW models. Additionally, drivers will have access to digital key features.
