Renowned actor and politician Mithun Chakraborty was recently admitted to a hospital in Kolkata after suffering a stroke. Debashree Roy, his co-star in the upcoming movie Shastri, shared an encouraging update on his health. In a conversation with Zoom, she said, “I also met Mithun Da at the hospital. He is now faring much better, having been hospitalised timely due to a dip in his sugar levels which made him feel quite unwell. He underwent thorough diagnostic procedures including an MRI of the brain. The diagnosis is an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke). Currently, he is fully conscious, oriented, and has had a soft diet. Shri Chakraborty is under the care of a multidisciplinary medical team including neuro-physician, cardiologist, and gastroenterologist, as he continues to be evaluated.”
