The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E: Enhanced Performance and Competitive Pricing Start at $41,890

The latest iteration of the Ford Mustang Mach-E is set to roll out with a slew of updates for the 2024 model year, including the fresh introduction of the Bronze Appearance Package and the new premium Rally version.

Prospective buyers can already place their orders, finding a variety of improvements across different trims to enhance range and performance, accompanied by faster charge times. Additionally, Ford has maintained prices close to the 2023’s lower rates. The base model commences at $41,890, marking a marginal $195 uptick from the preceding year.

The entry-level Select variant is equipped with rear-wheel drive paired with a 72-kwh Standard Range battery. The Premium variant follows suit in terms of drive and battery but starts at a slightly higher price point of $45,890.

Rear-wheel drive combined with the optional 91-kwh Extended Range battery will offer an estimated 320 miles of travel. With the Standard Range battery, the mileage expectation drops to 250. Ford’s estimates serve as preliminary figures until official EPA ratings are released. Opting for all-wheel drive diminishes the range by about 20 miles for each battery type.

Offering something for performance enthusiasts, Ford has retained the GT model and introduced the new Rally grade. Both are fitted with all-wheel drive and an Extended Range battery. The GT, priced at $55,890, is estimated to have a 280-mile range and adds previously optional features as standard equipment, including up front sports seats, adjustable dampers, and Brembo front brakes.

The Rally variant debuts at $61,890 with an estimated range of 265 miles, surprisingly undercutting its anticipated fall debut price by $5,000. All listed prices already account for a $1,895 destination fee.

A Performance Upgrade is optional for the GT and included with the Rally. This upgrade costs either $995 alone or $745 in conjunction with a wheel and tire package, boosting torque by 100 lb-ft, maintaining peak power at 480 hp, and enabling acceleration from 0-60 mph in roughly 3.3 seconds. These enhancements earn the Mach-E a quicker acceleration profile than the Tesla Model Y Performance.

Thanks to improvements such as a newly designed rear motor and advanced electric motor control algorithms, Ford’s Performance Upgrade significantly enhances the vehicle’s capabilities. Furthermore, models with the Extended Range battery can now reach a charge from 10-80% within approximately 36 minutes—almost nine minutes faster than in the past. The Standard Range battery can achieve a similar charge in just about 32 minutes, which is over five minutes quicker than before.
