Hannah Bahng had always envisioned a life as a K-Pop idol.
Hannah Bahng is recognized in the realm of K-Pop as the younger sister of Stray Kids’ leader, Bang Chan.
Her activities on YouTube and in the music industry have earned her a dedicated following as well.
On the Zach Sang Show, she disclosed that as a child, becoming a K-Pop star was her utmost aspiration. She believed it to be the exclusive avenue to a career in music. Observing her brother’s journey from trainee to notable idol fueled her resolve to follow suit.
As you all know, my elder brother, [Bang Chan], is part of Stray Kids. Since the times when he was still a trainee, before debuting, I admired him enormously. I have immense respect for him. Watching him was the only way I figured I could be involved in music and pursue what I love.

Nonetheless, her venture into K-Pop did not pan out. When inquired by Zach about the number of agencies she tried out for, she acknowledged that it just wasn’t destined.
I am a person of great passion, determination, and strength of will. I stop at nothing to achieve my goals. I gave auditions my everything, but it seemed futile. I realized, ‘I’m putting in so much effort without success, there must be another explanation.’.

Upon further questioning by Zach regarding if her destiny was to launch her career independently, she confirmed with an emphatic “Period.”
Though there was potential for her to debut with KATSEYE, the girl group by HYBE and Geffen Records, Hannah realized that a solo career was her calling. Embracing the independent path, she established Bahng Entertainment and debuted in July 2023 with her single “perfect blues.”
She has also recently released her EP titled The Abysmal.
